Amenities
Pitch-black evenings make for star-filled skies at the Nelson Creek Campground, located on the section of Fort Pack known as the “Big Dry Arm.” Nelson Creek is one of the more remote boondocking areas on the lake and offers 25 primitive campsites, many of which are secluded. Bonus: No hookups means very little light coming from the campsite, so stargazing at this gem of a location is top-notch.
Nelson Creek is popular among boaters and campers coming from the southern portion of the state. This idyllic spot offers views of Fort Peck Lake, light breezes, beautiful foliage plus fire rings, picnic tables, vault toilets and a boat ramp. Enjoy boating, fishing, wildlife viewing and stellar scenery.
