Situated on the Hell Creek Arm of Fort Peck Lake with the darkest night sky rating possible (it gets a Class-1 rating on the Bortle Scale) and an on-site campground, Hell Creek is an ideal spot for an overnight stargazing adventure. You won’t find light pollution from nearby towns, and, if the campground is pretty full, you can simply venture a little way from your campsite for optimal viewing.

Hell Creek also serves as the perfect launching point for general camping, boating and exploring the Missouri Breaks. The campground offers 71 campsites, a comfort station, playground, electrical hook-ups and much more. Visitors can stock up in Jordan before heading out or grab last-minute bait and groceries at the private Hell Creek Marina.
