Crystal Lake sits at 5,700 feet in the heart of the Big Snowy Mountains, near Lewistown, and offers an enchanting night-sky experience, complete with camping. Gaze at the Milky Way against the shadow of the majestic mountain backdrop.

The campground, which offers 28 roomy campsites, sits on the banks on Crystal Lake. This pristine lake is called “crystal” for a reason. The clean, clear water is an excellent place for kayaking, canoeing, paddleboarding, rafting and swimming. It is also a popular fishing destination.

Bears may frequent this area, so remove all food from area after eating, and keep all food out of sight in approved containers. Mandatory food storage is required. To learn more about bear safety, visit: Be Bear Aware.
