Amenities
Cave Mountain Campground, located in the Front Range of the Rocky Mountains and along the North Fork of the Teton River, is a remote and mountainous location delivering prime stargazing opportunities. This campground sits at an elevation of 5,200 feet, with beautiful aspen and fir trees providing shade for most of the 14 standard campsites and four horse-camping sites, but the tree cover does not hinder stargazing one bit.
During the day, enjoy epic views of the Sawtooth Range and riverfront camping at certain sites. You’ll find Nature Conservancy land and rugged badlands just east of the campground, as well as hitching rails and feed troughs at the Middle Fork of the Teton trailhead. Maximum trailer length is 35 feet, and there is a camping limit of 14 days.
This area is frequented by bears, so make sure to store your goods properly and dispose of waste responsibly! To learn more about bear safety, visit: Be Bear Aware.
