Amenities
Brush Lake State Park is a beautiful destination to set up camp for an unforgettable night of stargazing by the water—and play by day, too. Brush Lake's northern latitude and remote location make it a stellar destination for your cosmic adventure. In fact, it’s one of the top five spots to stargaze in Montana. The nearest town, Reserve, has a population under 100 and virtually no light pollution to get in the way of a star-studded evening. It’s also not uncommon to see the northern lights in this part of Montana, especially during the fall and winter.
This deep, clear lake does not support any significant fish life due to the high alkaline content of its water, but makes for a great spot to water ski, watch for wildlife and relax on the shore. The northeast portion of the lake includes a day-use area with a boat ramp, dock and picnic area, along with a 12-site campground. Note that some amenities are seasonal—check with the park for availability.
